Tammerlane Health Care Centre

Tammerlane Health Care Centre is an Intermediate Care Facility that has been providing care to those who have been diagnosed with some form of mental illness for nearly twenty years. This is a very special level of care for which our facility is acknowledged as one of the finest is the state of Illinois.

We are providing care with the direction and intent of achieving the highest possible functional ability and the potential for moving to a less formal setting in the community. Our residents participate in day training when appropriate and we have numerous functions and activities in the community to maintain as normal an environment as possible.

Our staff is trained in the special handling sometimes required for those with mental illness. The goal is to protect our residents and staff by employing methods that will not injure anyone. Each staff member is trained with the Mant procedures toward this purpose.

The goal of Tammerlane is to give meaning to our residents lives and to create a community atmosphere. Our community includes the staff, residents and their families. Our families are our biggest supporters.
